Vinyl Labels

People connect vinyl labels with bumper stickers and outdoor labels and then transpose that durability concept to their package or other indoor roll label requirement. Vinyl (termed PVC) comes as a white or clear material and is usually very limp, conformable, and often nicely removable. It is great for signage when screen printed. Renell does carry vinyls for certain desired uses. Over time, however, vinyl will crack and shrink around the edges. It works best as a laminated label which protects it and the printed graphics captured inbetween.

Be sure to consider the much more versitile and less costly film alternatives, polypropylene or MylarŪ labels (properly termed polyester labels). Over 80% of the clear labels and white film labels are produced from the polypropylene and polyolefin (hybrid poly) film families. Cost and variety of configurations with adhesives taylored to applications from shampoos, to frozen foods, to spa chemicals and ladders, make this the film of choice when designing custom printed labels. Both polypropylene and polyester can be chromed to make bright metalized labels as well.

Call or contact a label professional at Renell via the "Help Desk" about your film label requirement. We will provide free label materials for you to review and test for your application and help you with your proper choice of material.
