Laminated Labels

Laminated labels are manufactured with either a clear liquid coating which becomes hardened as it passes under a strong ultraviolet light or with a layer of clear film glued down over the printed label's base material. So, paper labels, clear labels, foil labels, MylarŪ labels, vinyl labels may all be laminated as they are being formed into roll labels.

Lamination serves four purposes:

  1. protection and scuff resistance against outside sources
  2. sealing in the graphics against physical and UV damage
  3. provide durability in harsh or external environments
  4. to give a glossy, cosmetic appearance to a label

Over 90% of labels manufactured have some form of lamination on them. To determine the type and degree needed for your custom printed label, contact a Renell professional via our "Help Desk" or by phone. To give our customers personal attention, we do not use voice mail except after business hours.
